Why a Plan? Promote and support economic and community development of the area Improve coordination Integration of service delivery Collaboration

Key Features of a good LECP 1. Extensive consultation 2. Strong evidence base 3. Clearly identified needs & solutions 4. Realistic objectives and actions 5. Local agreement on delivery of actions 6. Integrated Plan

What should a plan look like? Socio Economic Statement setting out high level goals for the integrated plan Economic and Community objectives Mid–level Actions that address the needs and are measurable Local Economic and Community Plan

Examples of Actions in LECPs Kildare - Community fire safety programme for primary schools in Kildare - Kildare Fire Service, LA, HIQA, ETB Tipperary – Disability Action Plan - LA, PPN, HSE, Youth Services, ETB, LDC
