Organisation of European freight railway undertakings Established in 1995 as special group of International Union of Railways Objectives: development, operation & maintenance of international information systems for rail freight: –ORFEUS: centralised consignment note data exchange –ISR: wagon movement and status reporting 15 Members: B-CARGO, CDC, CFL, GC, MAV-C, RDE, RDK & RNL, TI, RCA, RENFE, SBB-C, SZ, SNCF-F, ZS and ZSSK-C.

ISR Presentation © RAILDATA What is ISR? ISR (International Service Reliability) = system in production, which concentrates and exchanges information about movements of freight wagons in international traffic across Europe. Information about your wagon, anytime, anywhere

ISR Presentation © RAILDATA Main Functions: CDS ensures reception and validation of messages, format conversion & distribution. Wagon events & transport descriptions are stored (30 days). Subset of CIM note data is taken from ORFEUS to match events to a Transport Description (TD). After a transport has finished, a part of its transport description + first and last event are used to create an Experienced Transport Plan (ETP). So for new transports running under the same conditions the expected last event can be shown. Strict filtering rules apply: RU can only access ISR or get data based on their role in transport.

ISR Presentation © RAILDATA Additional events: Further events are realised in CDS ready for exchange when RU’s are able to send & receive them: –Ready To Pull (wagon un/loaded at customer) –Pulled (wagon taken from customer) –Wagon Broken (transportation interrupted) –Wagon Repaired (continuation of transport) –Delivered (wagon handed over to customer) –Free for Disposition (unloaded, waiting for task)

Experienced Transport Plans –subset of the transport description –first and last event of the experienced transport

Rule: each RU provides information to its customers Reasons: business policy & how to identify customer? ISR is not just project, it is system in real production, daily used by railway staffs, allowing information for the customers. A bout 10 – 13 millions of wagon events reported per month.
