Aim: In 1765, how did English colonists react to taxes imposed by England, the “mother country”? Do Now: The town of Rye is having some financial troubles. In order to make money, students must now pay an extra tax on gum, pens, pencils, riding your bike, talking, texting on your cell phone and playing video games. How might you react to this new tax? HW: Stamp Act Letter
