How to Make Lucky Star Origami! Anna Dechaumphai December 8, 2009 ENGL 393

Introduction Lucky stars origami originated from the Chinese in the late 1980’s. Meaning: whole hearted blessing Material and equipment: a strip of paper and scissors Safety Information: be careful not to get paper cuts!

Step 1 Prepare a long strip of paper. Tie a knot by tightening the paper.

Step 2 Fold the end of the strip down as shown

Step 3 Wrap the other end of the strip across the pentagon. Repeat the steps over and over until you get to the end of the strip.

Step 4 Tuck the end of the strip of paper into the pouch as shown. The paper should now looks like a pentagon.

Step 5 Gently use your fingernails to push in the center of the edge of each sides to make the star puffy

Step 6 You’re DONE!

Conclusion Lucky stars are origami that are easy to make and maintain. Make a lot, put them in a jar, and give it to someone special!
