If your organization uses the Tyler Dashboard, Munis Version 9.1 is available in a Web-based interface called GWC-SL. The GWC-SL screens are very similar in function to desktop versions of Munis; however, the screens open in your Web browser using Microsoft® Silverlight™ technology. Unless otherwise specified, the content of this presentation is based on the GWC-SL interface.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. Business Types The Apply Online check box is available on the Statistics/Other tab. When you select this check box, the selected business type is available in CSS for online business applications.

Permits and Code Enforcement Apply for a Business License Online The following changes have been made to Permits and Code Enforcement programs in order to facilitate the processing of business account applications submitted through Citizen Self Service.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. Project Types The Self Service Project Types program is no longer available. The ability to indicate if a project type is available in CSS has been moved to the Project Types program.

Application Entry When a citizen submits an application for a new business account and the system is set to process business application through Munis Permits and Code Enforcement, the resulting application is available in Application Entry and the status is the initial online status associated with the selected project type.

Duplicate Permit Types on an Application You are able to use the same permit type code multiple times on a single application.

Inspection Levels You are able to assign levels to inspections. This allows you to establish an order of priority for inspection scheduling. You can establish different priority levels for different categories of inspections, such as electrical or plumbing, by creating trade type codes and assigning those codes to inspection types.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. Permits and Code Enforcement Miscellaneous Codes Trade type codes are established and maintained in Permits and Code Enforcement Miscellaneous Codes.

Inspection Entry The Required to Close check box is available on the Main tab. This check box indicates if the inspection must be completed before the associated application can be closed.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. Prerequisites Levels There is a new program to allow you to manage the types of prerequisites that can be used on an application. Previously, prerequisite types were managed in Permits and Code Enforcement Miscellaneous Codes.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. Prerequisite Types The Prerequisite Types program is available. This program allows you to manage the prerequisites used on permit applications.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. Project Types The Level box is available on the Default Prerequisites screen. This allows you to indicate the priority of the prerequisite when used with the selected project type.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. Unlimited Number of Fees on a Permit You are able to assign an unlimited number of fees to a permit. Permit Types All of the fee-related fields, such as Fee Code 1 or 2 and Statistic 1 or 2, have been removed from the main screen, as have the Permit Types array at the top of the screen and the Items and Fee Codes buttons.

The Permit Fees screen is available. This screen displays when you click the Fees button on the main screen and allows you to associate an unlimited number of default fee codes with the permit type.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. Application Entry The following changes have been made to the Application Permits screen: –The fee calculation-related fields on the Fees tab have been removed. The Fee array is available on the Fees tab. This array lists all of the fees associated with the permit. You can double-click a fee code to view the Permit Fees screen. –The Fees button is available. When you click this button, the program displays the Permit Fees screen. This screen allows you to manage all the fees associated with the permit.

MUNIS Central Programs UB Central On the Advanced Search screen, the District and Type fields are lists that provide valid search options.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. Contractor Central The Contractor Central program is available. This program allows you to search for contractor information by contractor name or telephone number. You are also able to perform an advanced search based on contractor details.

The Details page displays various panels containing detailed information. You can use the Settings button on the toolbar to determine which panels display

The Header panel displays contact and location information for the contractor. When you click More, the panel displays insurance and escrow information for the contractor.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. The Application History panel displays a list of all of the permit applications where the contractor is listed on a permit.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. The Blanket Bonds panel lists all of the blanket bonds for a contractor. The Inspections panel lists all of the inspections for the contractor.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. The Summary panel displays a summary of outstanding balances for applications, bonds, and inspections for the contractor.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. The Text panel displays any text, or notes, associated with the contractor. The Tradesmen panel lists the contractor’s tradesmen.

© 2010 Tyler Technologies, Inc. Scheduler Central The Scheduler Central program is available. This program allows you to manage scheduling of tasks, such as inspections or work order services, using a central calendar that you can access directly from a Munis program. Scheduler Central integrates with Microsoft Exchange, so when you schedule an appointment in Scheduler Central, the user’s Exchange calendar is updated accordingly. You can also use Scheduler Central to map the locations of the appointments on a calendar.

You can also right-click on a time frame in the calendar to schedule an appointment.

Non-Emergency Requests Several changes have been made to the Non-Emergency Requests program. Your citizens are able to search for specific requests, the request form has been redesigned, and functionality has been added to better integrate with Munis Work Orders.
