Catalogue: Simple Search  Access to a wide variety of media: books; DVDs; journals; etc.  Ability to search for specific works (Author and/or Titles) and for all the works on a specific theme (Keyword)  Access to reading lists

Catalogue: Author/Title Search  Example search for the 2 nd edition of the book Supply chain logistics management by Donald Bowersox, David Closs and M. Bixby Cooper.  Keep the search as simple as possible  Use one surname only  Use only the first few words of the title  Over specification may fail to retrieve any results

Electronic Databases: Business  A database is a searchable collection of records. Most of the databases subscribed to by the Library are bibliographical. The records in this type of database are usually full-text journal articles.  The Library Databases directory gives access to a wide range of inter-disciplinary and business specific products, including:  Business Source Premier  Wide coverage of all business topics  Emerald  Operations management; organisation studies; etc.  Mintel  Market intelligence reports and related news updates  MyiLibrary  Full-text electronic books  SwetsWise  A gateway service giving access to all of the Library’s electronic journals

Mintel Oxygen: Overview  Coverage  Commercially produced market research reports on a wide range of services and products:  Finance Intelligence: UK  Travel & Tourism: International  Mintel Reports: UK  Sub-series: Beauty; Drink; Fashion; E-Commerce; Food; Health; Household; Leisure; Media; Technology; etc.  Search Methods  Browse  Scan through the lists of reports by date, title and theme  Keyword  Where you specify the terms that describe the product or service you are interested in
