COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY ANDRE'S HOUSE OF HOSPITALITY 1. Help feed the homeless! The meal is served 5:30p – 6:30p Approximately 550 to 650 plates are served each evening. Volunteers to be at the Hospitality Center from 3:15pm to 7:30pm. The work includes the food preparation, dish washing, food service and clean-up. 2. Sorting clothing & donations 3. Organize a donation drive or host a fundraiser to help André House 4. Help with morning and afternoon services

SCHOLARSHIP/INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES KEYS applications accepted through Tuesday, February 5th. What is KEYS? Keep Engaging Youth in Science (KEYS) provides highly achieving Arizona high school students from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to participate in a greatly rewarding research internship experience. KEYS interns enroll, for 3 credits, in the University of Arizona during their summer break for a week long intensive laboratory and science literacy training, followed by six weeks in the laboratory of a renowned UA researcher. This year's program runs June 3rd -July 19th, The program concludes with a KEYS Research Showcase, where students present their results to their families, UA scientists, and program sponsors. How to Apply Applications for the KEYS 2013 Summer Research Internship are open at research-internships. The deadline for completed applications is February 5th, research-internships Completed applications should include an online application, a letter of interest, participation agreements from the student and parents, two recommendations from a science teacher and a counselor or other teacher, and official transcripts. There is no program fee and financial assistance will be offered for those who would not otherwise be able to participate.
