We are the oldest continuously operating veterinary hospital in Mecklenburg County and have been serving the community since Our veterinarians and staff have a deep commitment to our patients and offer more then 75 years of combined experience. Some of our clients continue to bring their pets here even after moving to another state!

Parker Veterinary Hospital was first opened in 1937 by Dr. Roy H. Parker and originally cared for horses, farm animals, dogs, cats and virtually anything else with fur or feathers. This was a time when the area surrounding Charlotte was heavily agricultural and the Hospital was one of only a handful serving Mecklenburg County. As the County became more urbanized over the years, the case load of large and farm animals waned and today the Hospital sees only companion animals. Parker Veterinary Hospital has been providing continuous veterinary medical and surgical care for over 75 years, the only veterinary hospital in Mecklenburg County to do so.
