Relay for Life May

FUNDRAISING! This is the most important part of Relay! – The money goes to research to save lives, programs to help patients cope, and funding access to screenings You must raise $100 for a t-shirt – This can be made very easily… you just have to get $10 from 10 people or businesses – Most people will be willing to give $10 Relay also has an “Incentive Program”- the more money you raise, the better prizes are in store for you! (come up and see it!)

How can I RAISE MONEY? Send a letter to family members or Companies – We will make a generic letter for you if you would like it; you will have to come in and get it after Thursday – Remind them that donations can be done online instead of sending money through the mail Door-to-door (including companies- downtown!) – Only do this if you really trust the area – Go with another member trying to raise money also – Ask us for a few papers from Relay (like where the money goes) so people know you are legitimate Be sure to include yourself in our CLUB FUNDRAISERS!

How should I ACT? Assert yourself – Be sure that they know where the money is going to – Tell them every cent counts – Pull at their heartstrings! – Do not be too aggressive; they will immediately not want to listen Act confident – It will make it more professional Puppy dog eyes!!
