Why is this important? Impact on children can be catastrophic: affects emotional well-being, behaviour, attainment, long term life chances The younger the child the greater the risk No shared approach across the Thames Valley: potential ‘postcode lottery’

Funding & consortium PCC bid successfully for £123,000 to develop: one to one and group therapeutic support to meet the needs of each age group a continuum of programmes, and shared service standards, across Thames Valley locally accessible and where possible sustainable Consortium of 8 agencies Aylesbury Women's Aid, Berkshire Women’s Aid, DASH, MK Act, ODAS, Reducing the Risk, SAFE!, Wycombe Women’s Aid

The challenge How best to ensure effective investment of funding so that children and young people across the Thames Valley can access quality, age appropriate, and, where possible, sustainable services to help them recover working to a 6 month time period
