T HE CAPITAL OF CZECH REPUBLIC The capital of the Czech Republic is Prague. Prague is a city of government offices and there are some museums and art galleries. There are some well-known monuments here too, for example Charles´ bridge, Prague castle. The city is also an important business and financial centre.

E CONOMY The Czech Republic is famous for very good quality of Czech products. For example: cars, glasses, beer… The Czech Republic is a member of the European Union since May 2004.

S PORT The most popular sports in the Czech Republic are football (soccer) and ice hockey. The Czech men's national ice hockey team has a lot of medals… Ice Hockey World Championship will be hosted in the Czech Republic in 2015.

The name of our village is created from a small village under the forest => Podlesov (in English Underforest, some age changed it to Polešovice)
