 SIIS is a technologic platform and one of the principal management tools of the Chilean Social Protection System (Chile Solidario)  Registers, stores, exchanges and processes information about beneficiary families of government programs  Validates information and helps families apply for public services What is SIIS?  The Master Data Base contains information on approximately 11 million people (3 million families)  It has more than 3,000 users in different territorial levels: Municipalities, Provinces, Regions and public services  Daily usage: More than 100,000 accesses to the different tools of the system Some statistics on SIIS

FOSIS Application System  The Chilean Solidarity and Social Investment Fund (FOSIS) has developed an application system for the access to its program information  Any citizen can apply  A computer assisted closed survey is applied to each applicant  The information is checked online at SIIS  Identification  Address  FPS scorecard  Previous participation in FOSIS and other public services programs are checked  Requirements for each FOSIS program are checked

FOSIS Application System  A score for each applicant is calculated  A list of pre-selected applicants is generated for each program  Information of those pre-selected is checked in field on the basis of a second, larger survey  A list of selected beneficiaries is generated
