Sustainability Can be continued without harm Harm : Environment Economy Socially Politically

Will our future be like this…?

Or will it be more like this….?

Sustainable Development Something that is developed that will not lower our quality of life or harm the environment. So we want to continue to have the life we have at the moment (sustain it) but at the same time keep the earth and its resources safe and available for future generations to enjoy the same things.

Resources A resource is something you use. The earth gives us may resources, for example, things to eat, things to build with, things to make energy. These things that are found naturally are called NATURAL RESOURCES

Natural Resources These Natural Resources are either RENEWABLE (can be replaced of reformed by the earth) or NON RENWABLE (things that cannot be remade so that once they have been used they cannot be replaced).

Now try to work out which resources are renewable and which are non renewable
