GO! Matthew 28:18-20

Big Idea Our lives will be 100% RADICALLY changed when we GO for Jesus!

Why we should go How we can go What we should expect as we go!

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Why Go? “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Matthew 28:18-18a We must GO because Jesus says so!

He (Jesus) is the radiance of the glory of God… and he upholds all things by the word (command) of his power. Hebrews 1:3

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19 How?

Make disciples — lead people to trust in me. How?

“…baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..“

How? Bring people to the community of faith

…and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Lead people into living out their faith in obedience to King Jesus.

We must live what we preach. We must be able to articulate the good news.

But these things are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20:31

We must walk alongside people to help them grow in their faith.

What we should expect And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:20 The King (with all power) wants us to go, and will go before us and with us! For I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

Remember The King commands us to go. The world needs us to go. He will be with us while we are going.
