2016 New Year: Call to Disciple Nations for Christ

2016 Annual Theme Discple Nations for Christ Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

January Light of the World  Matthew 5:14-16  “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

February Love One Another  John 13:34-35  A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

March Empowered by God  Luke 10:19  Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.

April Follow Jesus  Luke 9:23  And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

May Call to Teach  2 Timothy 2:2  And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

June Call to Connect  Acts 2:42  And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

July Abide in His Word  John 8:31-32  So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

August Bearing the fruit  John 15:1-17  “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing....

September Submission under Godly Authority  John 13:16  Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.

October Servanthood Attitude  Matthew 20:26-28  It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

November Developing the gift of God in you  2 Timothy 1:6  For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands,

December Christ Gifts to All Nations  Matthew 28:18-20  And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
