LEARNING INTENTION  Students will understand what this assessment is about and what is expected of them in the assessment  Students will be able to describe a range of movements at major joints in the body and list the agonist and antagonist muscles in each

DO NOW: KEY WORDS… ANSWER THE QUESTIONS  Joints – what are the major joints in the body that are common in a range of sporting movements?  Muscles – which are the major muscles that move these joints?  Bones – what are the major bones involved in these movements at the joints above?  Agonist – what does this mean?  Antagonist – what is this?  Flexion/extension – describe these movements  Abduction/adduction – describe these movements  Plantar flexion/dorsiflexion – describe these movements
