Taxes (200) This law placed a tax on playing cards, newspapers, and legal documents.

Taxes (400) This document written in 1215 forced the King to get permission before raising taxes.

Taxes (600) The debt left over from this event forced the British to begin taxing the colonists.

Taxes (800) This law taxed items such as lead, glass, and paint.

Taxes (1000) The Tea Act lowered the price of tea, but gave a monopoly to this company.
