Phonics vs Phonetics

Why Teach Phonics? Helping children to pronounce the word correctly and easily. Helping children to spell the word correctly and easily.

Why Teach Phonics? To Help children read the new words by themselves. Develop their reading ability.

When to teach Phonics? When students …  can recognize some words through listening/sight reading  know enough words to relate the sounds to the meaning of the words
