Tulare County Library Report December 2015

Alpaugh Branch – December 2014  Children enjoyed doing many Holiday projects.  We celebrated the holiday’s by having a party, children enjoyed punch, cookies, and candies.  This month we began Duct Tape activities.  Kids decorated branch with the crafts they made and created gifts for there loved ones

Dinuba Branch December 2014 Dinuba is geared for the holiday season. The fabulous Friends of the Dinuba Library provides a festive Christmas Tree to ring in the season. The Christmas tree is raffled off to a lucky patron in support of the library. Children’s craft was a huge hit this December with a large attendance. The after school craft pleased many children and helped increase library visits.

Earlimart – December 2014  This month of December our holiday crafts were the most popular activity  Kids Wrote letters to Santa Clause  On Dec 19 we had our winter party and enjoyed watching a movie.

Exeter - December 2014  Christmas is here! The Decorations, Parties and Crafts abound.  Along with the many crafts, tree decorating and party, we decorated a personal ornament and wrote letters to Santa that were turned into Macey’s for $1.00 donation to “Make a Wish Foundation.”

Ivanhoe Branch-December 2014 December was a busy and fun month for us in Ivanhoe. Christmas movies and crafts were popular with the kids as well as the adults this month. We watched “Christmas with the Chipmunks”, “Arthur Christmas” and “The Grinch That Stole Christmas”. Christmas vacation gave the children and families a lot of extra time at the library this month. They played a lot of board games, Wii and enjoyed Christmas books and stories. We also had a Christmas coloring contest that everyone enjoyed. We had a Christmas party with food and drinks. We gave out prizes for our coloring contest and all of the kids went home with a prize, candy cane and or an ornament. One of the highlights of our party was singing Christmas carols along with The keyboard and guitar.

SPRINGVILLE BRANCH LIBRARY DECEMBER 2014  Springville patrons enjoyed a Christmas Open House, featuring singer and entertainer Patty Holvey. We also had craft tables, book gifts from the P.A.L.S. and refreshments.  December crafts for children and adults included: mice and candy cane ornaments, snow men, cupcake-liner Christmas trees, reindeer toppers, jewelry crafts & Christmas card making.  Kids wrote letters to Santa to be turned into the Macy’s Christmas Santa letter drive.  Everyone enjoyed taking part in all the festive fun and activities held during this Christmas season!

Three Rivers Library December 2014 Community Program  Bill Tweed – Geology of the Kaweah Watershed  Oklin Bloodworth added music and fun to our Holiday Party We had a wonderful selection of crafts this month: Snowmen, Mice and Candy cane Ornaments, Reindeer, Glitter Pinecones, Personalized Ornaments, Christmas Cards, Santa Letters, Duct Tape Crafts – Lots of fun was had by all!
