What is the effect of stretching on jumping? Purpose

Hypothesis Stretching will increase the jumping ability.

Materials PaperMarker Meter Stick TapeWall Seven subjects

Procedure Step 1: Tape paper vertically on wall. Step 2: Have subject record vertical jump using marker. Record distance. Step 3: Have subjects stretch for five minutes. Step 4: Have subject record vertical jump using marker. Record distance. Step 5: Analyze Data.

Results Before Stretching:After Stretching: Difference: 32cm37cm +5 43cm46cm +3 46cm53cm +7 59cm56cm cm32cm -3 53cm42cm +3 44cm52cm +8

Results #2 Total increase in distance: 13cm Average increase: 1.9cm
