5 Pray for Boldness Paul wrote about his own fears of sharing the gospel –1–1 Corinthians 2:1-3

6 1 Corinthians 2:1-3 “ And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, ”

7 Pray for Boldness Paul wrote about his own fears of sharing the gospel –H–He believed in the power of prayer and solicited prayers of others Ephesians 6:18-19

8 Ephesians 6:18-19 “ With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, 19 and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, ”

9 Pray for Boldness Peter and John –A–Acts 4:29-31

10 Acts 4:29-31 “ And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Your bond- servants may speak Your word with all confidence, 30 while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus." … ”

11 Acts 4:29-31 “ … 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness. ”

12 Pray for Boldness If we find ourselves lacking courage, then let our preparation include diligent prayer for boldness.

13 Steps in building courage Start out sharing Christ in a way which will not bring you face to face with people.

14 Steps in building courage Select some tracts you feel are good. –L–Leave it on your table with your tip. –D–Drop a tract in the envelope, even in the bills you pay –L–Leave a tract in a phone booth or in a restroom.

15 Steps in building courage Select some tracts you feel are good. What happens to the tract should no longer concern you.

20 Steps in building courage In our conversation –M–Mention a point made by the preacher, Bible class teacher, or what you gleaned from your own private study. –U–Use the expression “If the Lord wills...“ James 4:13-15
