What was INVOLVED on this Altar?

Leviticus 17.11, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.“ It was the "pitch" that kept the waters of God's judgment from getting to Noah and his family! And it was the blood sacrificed on the altar that kept God's judgment from getting to them.

Hebrews 9.22, "Without the shedding of blood there is no remission." Now remember the Tabernacle settles once- and-for-all how a sinful person can approach God and find God and fellowship with God.

What was IMPORTANT about this Altar? What was pictured in the Old Testament on the Brazen Altar was provided in the New Testament on the cross.
