Consider sponsoring a new club in an underserved geographic location in your community. Start new clubs that focus on a particular demographic group that may not be served with a community’s current club. Perform the Membership Diversity Assessment in Club Assessment Tools to see if any demographic groups are underrepresented in your club, and determine if a new club could respond to those needs. Consider starting a Rotary e-club. Recent Council legislation approved the establishment of up to two Rotary e-clubs per district. Number of Clubs Over the past five years, the region of Australia/ New Zealand/Pacific Islands has lost 37 clubs, which represents a 2.5% loss. It’s your Rotary Club ! Discuss and decide what you want your Club to be, and to do? If you want it to be different then you have to do something different. Remember that saying: “ Just doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome – is a sign of stupidity!” If you want change you need to decide what changes and then plan how to get there.

Recruiting new members Phone, visit acquaintances Talk to tradespeople, suppliers, professionals. Be well prepared when you talk to others about Rotary. Follow up, it will take much more than one call Talk to other organisations Invite people to quality nights and functions Keep a data base of prospective members, alumni etc.

Recruiting New Members 95% of what Rotarians do about membership is Discuss, Analyse, Seek Advise and Plan and while that’s important. Nothing will change unless you actually do something! And everyone can do something... But will you?
