913,138 people received 3 days of emergency food aid from Trussell Trust food banks in (Trussell Trust) “Poorer households prioritise calories over health benefits when money is tight” (Fabian Society report, 2015) “In the decade from 2003, food inflation was 47% in Britain, 30.4% in the US, 22.1% in Germany and 16.7% in France” (Feeding Britain, 2014)

Primary school pupils three times more focused after a healthier lunch in a pleasant environment Secondary school pupils increase on- task behaviours by 18% Pupils in places where universal free school meals offered made up to two months more progress than peers in other areas
