Airport 20kg for your hold luggage and one piece of hand luggage (small) You will be put into a group with a teacher. Make sure you stay with that group. Passports will be issued to you in the airport and taken from you when we get to Italy. They will be locked in the hotel safe whilst in Italy. No sharp objects, or liquid containers over 100ml. They will be taken from you. This includes drinks, toiletries, toothpaste, deodorants and contact lense solution. Put them in your hold luggage.

Hotel Cosmomare, Via Ripa di Cassano, 43, Piano di Sorrento Three star hotel. 10 minute drive from city centre. It has a public beach.

Safety On the beach – no swimming but o.k. to paddle. In Sorrento – walk in single file down narrow pavements and get to the meeting point on time. Emergency number Use the safe in the hotel – don’t take all your money out each day Keep personal belongings with you at all times

Safety If anyone approaches you pointing to stains on your clothes or offering flowers just walk away. Don’t leave valuables on the coach. Mobile phones are o.k. but we don’t want ipads on the trip. Phones are your own responsibility. Make sure you switch data roaming charges off. You must be in groups of 4 or more at all times. Speak to us if you are having any problems whilst away. Medication should be in labelled Ziploc bags and should be handed to us on departure. We will have a comprehensive first aid kit with us whilst away.

Equipment Summer clothing (shorts and t-shirts) for the daytime. Something warm (trousers and hoodie) for evenings and up Vesuvius and light waterproof just in case. Sensible shoes/trainers as we will be out walking for most of the days but walking boots are not needed. Sun cream/sunhat – very important! A large water bottle which can be filled at the hotel each day. A rucksack/bag to put the above items in.

Spending money It is half board so we recommend about £10 for each of the 5 days for lunch. This should be in Euros. We recommend about £50 on top of this for spending money. Take some money in Pounds Sterling for return trip from Liverpool. Pupils look after their own money and can use the hotel safe.

Code of Conduct Boys must not enter girls rooms and vice versa Noise must be kept to a minimum after 22:00 Pupils are not allowed to drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes You are representing the school so behaviour must be excellent
