ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA
Refrigerants Management Plan (RMP) in Republic of Macedonia; Project implemented Terminal Phase-out Management Plan (TPMP) in Republic of Macedonia; Project implemented HCFC-Survey; on going Project
Components : Improvement of legislation. Training of service technicians. Training of Customs officers. Recovery and Recycling scheme: - Establishing of three recycling centers. - Providing of R&R equipment for service-shops. - Providing of refrigerant-identifying equipment for Customs authorities
Two training centers where established at: -Mechanical faculty in Skopje, and -Technical faculty in Bitola For the purposes of the training, Training Manual was prepared according UNEP- edition “Good practice in refrigeration”. The training was organized as two-day course with theoretical and practical part. The training courses took place in the period 268 participants passed the course.
Training Manual for Customs officers was prepared by National Experts. Aims of the training were: -Introduction of the Customs officers in recognition of ODSs. -Introduction in obligations according MP and their Amendments. -stopping the illegal trade with ODSs. The training was executed as one-day course. The courses took place in Skopje and Bitola.
297 Customs officers passed the Course. Six sets of electronic refrigerant identifiers were distributed to the borders entry-points. Additional training in practical using of identifiers was organized after delivery of equipment.
Three Recycling Centers were established and equipped. 109 sets of R&R equipment were delivered to service shops Result – recovered quantities (kg): YearCFCsHCFC-22HFCsBlendsTotal Total
Components : Improvement of legislation. Training of trainers – professors from secondary vocational schools. Training of service technicians. Training of Customs officers. Recovery and Recycling scheme: - Providing of R&R equipment for service-shops. - Providing of refrigerant-identifying equipment for Customs authorities.
24 professors from 10 secondary vocational schools were trained at three-day course. For the purposes of the training, Training Manual was prepared according UNEP-edition “Good practice in refrigeration”. All schools were awarded with equipment for practical part of their educational process (5 educational refrigerant units, 10 R&R sets, tools…)
The training was organized as two-day course with theoretical and practical part. 12 training courses took place in Skopje, Gostivar, Bitola, Ohrid, Stip, Kavadarci and Strumica. 216 service technicians attended the training.
5 Training courses took place in Tabanovce(borders entry point), Bogorodica(borders entry point), Bitpla, Stip and Skopje. 103 Customs officers passed the training. New 6 Refrigerant leek-detectors- identifiers are provided for Macedonian Customs.
47 Sets of R&R equipment were provided. 39 Sets of R&R equipment are delivered (10 for secondary vocational schools and 29 for service shops). Total quantity of recovered refrigerants in the year 2007 is kg.
