Cottage Industry Work was done at home, by hand Products were made by and for family –Only a small portion of goods were made to trade with others Work was slow, but highly skilled

Factory System As new machines were created, work moved into factories –Workdays were longer (14+ hours) –Children sometimes worked alongside adults –Each person responsible for one small part of the process –Work is faster, but lower skilled
Factory System The team that produces the most cartoon characters wins. Cartoon characters that are too sloppy will be thrown out.
