The Agrarian Revolution

Farming before 1750 Most people lived in the countryside in villages. Most people farmed within a village and worked for their cottage or paid rent to their landlord or Lord of the Manor. People grew enough food for themselves and a small surplus in good years to trade or pay taxes and rent.
