Graduate AUEB PhD Studies AUEB offers a high-level of PhD Studies. Doctorates are awarded by each department upon the completion of courses, a successful qualifying exam, completion of dissertation and its successful defense in public. Holding a Master’s degree is a necessary requirement in order to be accepted to the PhD program. AUEB Doctoral studies are highly recognized internationally. Our students receive numerous awards, such as the Award of the European Doctoral Contest on HR Management, the European Doctoral Contest of the European Association of Personnel Management and others.

The AUEB Library AUEB’s library was founded in 1928 and in 1990 it has undergone a massive modernization and IT automation. It includes the European Documentation Centre and it organizes specific events for raising awareness. It is one of the largest university libraries in the Balkans, offering access to more than book titles, electronic journals, printed academic journals and 150 CD-ROMs. Electronic access is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from any computer connected to the University intranet.

The AUEB Computer Centre and IT Facilities AUEB has one of the largest and most up-to-date computer centre facilities in the country, serving, via a high performance flexible network, more than users. It occupies an area of approximately 700 m 2 and holds an extensive library of educational, scientific and business software. The Computer Centre includes 5 computer labs, a wireless on campus network and AUEB users can also have direct access from home.

AUEB The Research Centre is part of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB- RC). Founded:1983 Type of organisation: Public body Purpose: Coordination and promotion of research, consulting and training activities by members of the University's faculty, in collaboration with other university institutions, public entities and organisations, private enterprises, international organisations, etc.

Sources of Finance AUEB-RC finances its activities by administering research and training projects which are funded by both public and private organisations, as well as by international organisations, such as the European Union. It also receives research grants from the government, the University itself and from other public/private institutions and international organisations.
