The Pistol Power Offense Attack Presented By Joe Daniel Football

Does This Sound Familiar? Kids forget the plays Drills don’t show up on Game Day Players aren’t tough Lack of Motivation Guards pulling into each other. Who hasn’t seen it. Photo by Gamedayr.com

It’s not your kids... And even if it is, they’re not changing.

But you can change the input… to get better output. You can change what’s in your playbook, and change how you teach it… to get better results. Build your kid’s confidence by running a simple, consistent system of offense. Confident kids will play faster. Fast kids win more games. Confidence in your playbook, and in their individual jobs, will equal motivation… toughness… whatever qualities your football team is lacking right now. It’s a simple formula. I’m going to give you a foundation tonight, for the Pistol Power Offense System we teach inside Joe Daniel Football Insider.

About the Pistol Power Offense System… Simple blocking schemes (2 of them) Easy formation system. Look complex. It’s a SYSTEM… you have answers. Same plays in under center, Pistol or Gun. Any good offensive system has a base play… a counter… and a play action off of it. We have two plays plays. Power and Zone. They are the only 2 blocking schemes we teach. Offensive linemen have nothing new to learn after Week 1 of camp. They just get better.

Stick around… at the end I’ll tell you how to get a copy of this PowerPoint. (…but you should be taking notes!) Any good offensive system has a base play… a counter… and a play action off of it. We have two plays plays. Power and Zone. They are the only 2 blocking schemes we teach. Offensive linemen have nothing new to learn after Week 1 of camp. They just get better.

Quick basics on formation 6 formation calls can create nearly any look you want H Back listens to the number Run 3 to 4 formations per week (change them every week)

Pro / Plow with H Back alignments (1, 2, 3, 4) and explain HAM motion: H Across

POWER: The Base Play Double at POA H kicks out Guard wraps to LB

Draw it up to a 4-2-5 Defense and to a 3-3-5 Defense Draw it up to a 4-2-5 Defense and to a 3-3-5 Defense. This is the only one we’ll do both for because of TIME constraints.

Counter: The Misdirection Teams start to key on your H-Back Guard kicks out H-Back wraps

Power Pass: The Play Action Safeties & Corners get nosey Give the same backfield action Full slide protection

Your playbook needs… 1 to 3 base run plays. A different look off of each (Misdirection) A play action off of each Drop back passing, screens, etc.
