Causes of Revolution  Rival politicians/Warlords fought each other.  Diaz was making new rules, no one agreed with him and he broke promises with the nation.  Tremendous disagreements among the Mexican people over the dictator ship of President Porfirio Diaz.  Calls to arms to overthrow the current ruler/dictator Porfirio Diaz Mori.

Battles/Events & Dates oMexican Revolution Began in oMarch of 1911, The “Maderista” troops and national anger defeated the army of Diaz within 6 months. oNovember of 1911, Zapata wrote his famous Plan of Ayala, which called for Madero’s removal. oPorfirio Diaz then resigned as president & fled to exile in France, where he died in 1915 oPorfirio Diaz then resigned as president & fled to exile in France, where he died in 1915.

People who influenced the Revolution  Porfirio Diaz influenced the nation by people losing jobs and breaking promises that he couldn’t keep to the nation. Porfirio Diaz  Emiliano Zapata was a peasant leader who also brought wealth by telegraph lines, plantations, railroads, etc. Emiliano Zapata  Francisco I. Madero influenced also by taking over after awful decades of Diaz ruling. Francisco I. Madero

Conclusion & Results ♦ Diaz ruthlessly power for decades began to slip. ♦ The people were unhappy, and economic recession meant that many people of the nation lost their jobs & called for change. ♦ March of 1911, Emiliano Zapata led to the up rising of the peasants of Morelos to claim their rights. ♦ Madero was taking power from Diaz and he became a weak leader and failed to implement.

Long lasting Effects of Revolution ﯔ Diaz brought great wealth to the nation which led to Mexico modernized, building mines, plantations, Telegraph lines, and railroads. The rural workers and peasants suffered greatly. ﯔ The Mexican Revolution gained independence from Spain.
