Why did Buddhism come west? 1. Refugees / conflict:- e.g. Tibetans fled conflict when the Chinese took over Tibet in 1950 Wars in Indo – China in 1950’s and 1960’s ( Vietnam ) 2. Businesses established in the west from Buddhists in Thailand

What was the result of Buddhism coming west? 1. Buddhist benefits brought 2. Buddhist centres set up 3. Meditation practice 4. Talks 5. Chanting 6. Make offerings
