Outline Abstract Thesis layout conclusion Introduction

Abstract The current study was undertaken to highlight the constructions and additions of the late period kings in the temples of Upper Egypt. Additionally, the study shed light on one of the most significant periods along the ancient Egyptian history. Furthermore The constructions of such period within the Upper Egyptian temples are rare. Hence, there was a dire necessity for a study that could examine their few surviving remains. The study presented full explanation of the surviving constructions of the late period kings as well as entailed the architectural and technical features of buildings during the late period as well as The illustrations of the scenes and inscriptions that appeared on the late period constructions. The results of the study indicated that, the architecture of the late period is distinguished by the development of the prominent new building types, including, the so called birth house, entrance porch, kiosk and the Gateways, over and above, one has to realize that the ground plan of the main temples developed and changed during late period. Accordingly, the study contains an integrated study about the characteristics of the late period architecture, building materials and methods of the late period constructions.

introduction Thesis Type The Research is intended to conduct pure theoretical study to the constructions and additions of the late period kings within the Upper Egyptian Temples. In spite of being partially studied, it lacked comprehensive study of these monuments. Thesis Aim and Objectives The large-scale aim is to prepare a comprehensive study for the constructions and additions of the late period kings within the Upper Egyptian Temples. Itemized below the five leading objectives to that aim:  To make a survey and study for the upper Egyptian temples that contain additions from the late period.  To highlight the constructions and additions of the late period kings within the Upper Egyptian Temples.  To Present rendering plans for the Upper Egyptian Temples including the Late Period additions.  To illustrate the scenes and inscriptions that appeared on the late period constructions.  To distinguish between the architectural and technical features of the buildings during the late period.
