Who Are ANGEL Consumers? ALL MPS Hourly & Salary Staff will complete a course called “Restraint & Seclusion” in New Certificated Staff will complete two courses by winter break: – “New Certificated Staff Required Training via ANGEL ” – “All About Boundaries” New Certificated Staff will also use ANGEL as part of the “Reaching Each Student for New Staff” course during second semester

Important Reminders Classes require you to register in Better and Better AND enroll in ANGEL.

Getting Started ANGEL is web based, can be accessed from any internet connection Recommended Browsers – Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer 7 (or newer) – Camino, Safari, and Chrome do not work consistently

Username = Novell username Password = millard (first time only) New users will be prompted to change their password.

Locate the “Enroll by PIN” component on the portal page. Enter the appropriate “Section ID”.

Where do I get my Section ID? Section ID’s will be included in the registration confirmation sent via from Better and Better. If the course or community group does not require registration in Better and Better, you will be given the Section ID when you are asked to enroll.

Warning: Common Problem! A small pop-up window will welcome you to the course. You may need to scroll down to find the “Close” button. Click the “Close” button. If you “x” out instead, the page will not refresh to show the course.

NOTE: If you do not see your course, you did not click on the “Close” button…just click on the refresh button in the upper right hand corner of the page.

Log Off When Finished Remember to LOG OFF each time!

Completion All course activities must be completed by the established date for the course. Once staff members have completed the required training in ANGEL, their participation will be marked completed by their instructors within the Better and Better online registration system. The two systems are not connected, so Better and Better will not be updated automatically. Instructors will update transcripts periodically.

HELP Protocol Step 1 – Contact Building Tech Initiator or Building Staff Development Facilitator Step 2 - If Building Tech Initiator cannot solve problem, he/she enters a Helpdesk ticket
