Health Screening

Plan a presentation in groups of four/five All to contribute in producing and presenting!!! Presentation date 3 rd of February All information to be shared between groups.

Choose one per group Pregnancy Babies and toddlers ( 0-3years.) Children ( 4-12 years) Teenagers ( years)

What Health Screening is available? What health screening is available throughout pregnancy and within the specified age ranges? You should consider immunisations, including why immunisations are required. What age do they have these immunisations and how are they administered? You can include images of the diseases they are aiming to eradicate.

Developmental Screening Available In relation to your chosen area( age range), what developmental screening tests are offered? Include videos and images of developmental tests Why are developmental screening tests so important? Why is early intervention key to a child’s development, even when in utero?

Getting the message out there……. Who carries out these services and where? How are individuals contacted or encouraged to access these services?

If there is so much preventative health and developmental screening available, what factors are preventing its effectiveness? Reflect on the broader economic and social factors for health behaviours, access to health care and ultimately the health of the population.
