 How are you doing with the final project?

In this unit, we will explore the value of critical thinking in school and beyond. You already know from previous units how important reading and writing are to your education and career. However, in order to be an informed and thoughtful reader and make informed and thoughtful written contributions, you must first learn to develop and exercise your critical thinking skills.

In this unit, you will learn the definition of critical thinking, and how to use logic to improve your critical thinking skills. You will learn how to use your mind to solve problems. By exercising critical thinking, you will be able to read with a discriminating eye, differentiating fact from opinion. You will be able to write in a more convincing and fact- based style as you examine and evaluate your own work through those same critical lenses.

The meaning of critical thinking The importance of critical thinking How critical thinking can help you beyond the classroom Steps for critical thinking skill development The importance of analyzing information and problem solving
