Online books vs. E-books Similarities and differences

Online and e-book: content and funcionality The content of the traditional printed book in electronic format with some added indexed, searchable text, interactiv tools, and other possibilities (resize the letters, change the type of the letters, dictionnary function, etc.)

How to access? Online book Only online site licence Via institutional subscription Via the licenced IP range E-book Offline With downloading Lending: on the homepage of the e- book store house or individual acquisition On own device (e-book reader)

Access period Online book Till the deadline of the subscription (usually end of a year) Unlimited simultan users are possible – on the dedicated IP address E-book If you lend: end date of lending If you buy:till you delete it – the book is yours forever
