GLOBAL CONTEXT The Global Context you choose provides a framework for the community project. In most cases more than one Global Context may be appropriate, but focus on one Global Context that best aligns with the goal of your project. (page of Student CP Guide) In your Process Journal describe why you have chosen the Global Context and how it supports your communities need, your goal and action. Now it’s time to reflect 1. Evaluate the quality of your service compared to your final action plan (checked off by Supervisor March 10) Describe the purpose and goal of your service action plan Explain how you accomplished or did not accomplish your purpose and goal compared to your final action plan (give specific examples of how and why) Describe how completing or working on your project has increased your knowledge and understanding of service learning and the community you chose to help 2. Describe how your project is connected to your Global Context 3. Identify and describe how the Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills you used helped while working on your project (pages of Student CP Guide) 4. Identify the Learner Profiles that helped you most when working on your project Criterion D: Reflection
Next Meeting May 2, 2016 Presentation Preparation Students: begin working on oral presentation and presentation displays. This is your chance to be creative Written description of your project (do this in the format you will be using for your presentation such as a tri- fold board, poster, PowerPoint, etc. ) Project Name Describe the research you did on your community Describe the need you identified in the community Describe what you did as your service action Global Context- why you chose it and how does your project Discuss what you have learned about yourself while working on this project such as: ATL Skills, reflection, personal experiences, Visuals of your service action (pictures, video, letters, flyers, etc.) Items to turn in to your Supervisor May 2 nd Completed written Reflection
