 Test: will be returned tomorrow o Thursday we will have another opportunity to prove mastery on Deltas, Friday we will have the same opportunity for sedimentary rocks in the form of an exit ticket. You will need to be able to explain in your own words what they are and how they are made using key vocabulary o Friday we will have reading workshop of weather and climate. o Tutoring for science will start this six weeks and be based off of a practice staar test that we will take next week.

 I saw a trend when grading the test over the break  What is a delta? o Is it the path that the water carves or weathers out of the ground as it flows? The piled up sediment that is around the river and bulges into the ocean?

  The Rio Grande Valley is located at the southern tip of Texas at the end of a long river known as the Rio Grande.  How did the delta at the end of the Rio Grande form?  ASand and mud from the Gulf of Mexico were washed ashore by tsunamis.  BThe river cut through the solid bedrock of the valley.  CThe river deposited large amounts of sediment from land erosion.  DHurricanes pushed soil and debris from the Gulf of Mexico onto the land.
