STATION 1 MIDN 4/C Anderson ITEMS USED: MARINE LOG RULES: Stand MIDN atop the log. Require the MIDN to order themselves alphabetically or age without falling off Do this twice. Once without appointing someone as a leader. Second appointing a leader (some people will speak up during the first attempt, don’t use them in the second attempt). When finished critique the two attempts and the number of failures. Then ask why they were and weren’t successful. Shows the ability of communication and having one defining leader.

SECOND STATION MIDN 4/C Brathwaite ITEMS: Tarp RULES: Set 3 MIDN on top of it. They are not allowed to speak or open their eyes. Appoint a MIDN who is in charge and is the only one who can speak with the 3 MIDN on the top Their objective is to keep the MIDN on the tarp while turning it over without stepping off of it. Allows ingenuity and leadership. Point out other MIDN who speak up and point out if the MIDN in charge asks for help at all.

STATION THREE MIDN 3/C Dorsey ITMES: Requires a section of area that is bordered by the 4 ground flags. Also the 8 cones are placed inside the boarders making a mine field. RULES: An appointed MIDN has to maneuver blindfolded MIDN through the area without touching a cone. They can only use non verbal communication. They have a set amount of time to create their commands and then the appointed MIDN will use non verbal communication. Creates ingenuity and leadership. Ask why they were or weren’t successful.

STATION FOUR MIDN 4/C Budden ITEMS: Dry Erase Board or Clipboard and Paper RULES: Event leader will draw a picture and a MIDN will see it and then that MIDN will go to a single filed line of MIDN and explain it, without using non-verbal communication, to the preceding MIDN until the final MIDN is reached. That MIDN will then go and draw the picture. Event shows ingenuity and the ability to provide effective communication.

STATION FIVE MIDN 4/C Kelly ITEMS: The fifth station requires no items. RULES: MIDN will lock hands, no two MIDN will be attached to the same person, and they will try to create a circle without unlocking their hands. Point out key speakers. Why it did or did not work.
