The MRE (Meal, Ready-to- Eat) - In 1992, the United States Department of Defense developed a flameless ration heater that would allow soldiers to have a fully- cooked hot meal available in a small, light package - To cook the meal, water is added to a small amount of magnesium metal and salt in order to produce heat What evidence of chemical reactions would you see if you were to use an MRE?
