Help us meet our AmeriCorps objectives Connect site to the community Provide each child at least 20 minutes of one-one-on reading everyday! Many children need one-on-writing everyday. Only through the service of volunteers can this be accomplished! What additional needs do volunteers fill? Why are volunteers important?

What are the roles and responsibilities of a Community Coordinator? What does a Community Coordinator not do?

1.Recruit, train, supervise and track volunteers 2.Be a positive role model for children and volunteers, including preteens and teens 3.Manage the completion and submission of volunteer data weekly 4.Provide public relations for the site Four major roles of a CC:

We recommend at least 7 th grade and 12 years of age There are exceptions if your site is not serving children entering 1-6 grades Youth Volunteers
