La Crosse County’s largest food pantry, serving the hungry since 1986

Who comes to WAFER?

What do people get in their food package?

Where does the food come from?

Total Poundage Distributed – 2014

Total Poundage Distributed – 2015

How can you help?  Donate food or make a monetary donation  Coordinate a food drive or event  Be creative  Theme specific food drives  Raffle, Entertainment, etc  “Non-event” event

This young lady was celebrating her 19 th birthday with a “birthday scavenger” hunt. Raising money for WAFER, was just one of her stops. This group of ladies planned an event of raffles, silent auctions, food, music, and much more. A portion of the proceeds benefitted WAFER. Grandma’s Gone Wild

UW-L Students went “Trick or Treating” These students did a “souper” job collecting food for WAFER.

Employees from LHI in the Data Control and Customer Service departments had a food drive competition, “Race to End Hunger”. They collected 7664 items weighing 6405 pounds. Customer service may have won by bringing the most items, but it was really WAFER clients who won because of their big hearts! The I&S Group and 201 Main St businesses constructed a Christmas tree display and a “toy train” (out of canned goods) for the holiday instead of purchasing a live tree.

Give of your time, like these volunteers. How can you help?
