What is Fiber art? It refers to fine art whose material consists of fiber and other components such as fabric or yarn. It focuses on the materials as well as the artists manual labor (work) as parts of the works’ significance. There is a prioritization of aesthetic value over its use or utility. Process: Select your yarn. Begin weaving around fingers (over- under-over). Once you have 2 loops, gently push yarn to top of finger and pull through and repeat until you have your arm length as a scarf (or longer!) with yarn you choose.
