Others however, will be much larger and could require a fundamental reshaping and whole-scale restructure of the teams involved. DCP will work on the basic principle of a Crew of 4/5 (1 x WMA / CM plus 3 / 4 FF’s) working 24 hour shifts. Staff would work 12 Positive Hours and 12 Standby Hours Staff would live in the separate accommodation provided during Standby Hours. Staff will be allowed to have visitors / family stay on site within agreed guidelines

Serving the people of Cumbria Do not use fonts other than Arial for your presentations Staff Implications (1) 1 x WM – WMA Rate + 23% - (See Table 1 later) 2 x CM - CM Rate + 23% 9 x FF - FF Rate + 23% Self rostered 24 Hour Shifts based upon : –12 Positive Hours and –12 Standby Hours 2100 – Shifts will be allocated on a self rostering basis

All shifts will be programmed 6 weeks in advance. Annual Leave will be programmed in advance and will be based on a self rostering basis managed locally by the Supervisory Managers. (Local rota may need created for popular leave times).

Significant contribution towards Corporate achieving efficiency savings of £200k per station. More efficient Duty System that does not effect operational response or appliance availability. Increase in Crew Skill levels and operational competence if self sufficiency achieved.
