Positive and Negative Word Problems August 27, 2015 Objective: Solve positive and negative multiplication and division problems using real world situations.

Example 1 You have $172 in a bank account. You withdraw $6 per week for the next 3 weeks. What is your balance at the end of the 3 weeks?

Example 3 I earn $5.50 per hour. I work 8 hours per day. How much will I earn after 5 days?
