PBIS Celebrations Fall Festival – Played all types of games, ate pizza and snow cones, played football, took fall pictures. 1 Block Field trip- to Fannin Lanes for bowling and went to C.C.’s Pizza for buffet. 2 Blocks Shopping at Paw Place, twice a month NEXT: Planetarium, Art Museum, and eating at Logan’s Steak House 3 blocks

Extended school year (ESY ) Extended school year (ESY) is the provision of special education and related services to students with disabilities in accordance with their individualized education program (IEP) beyond the normal school year of the local district and at no cost to the parents of the students.

How do we determine ESY? We look at the following…. Regression Recoupment: Is there a loss of skill after two breaks in instruction and the inability to regain the skill. Critical Point 1: Is the student going to more special education support or will it decrease their time in the general education setting. Critical Point 2: to prevent a loss of significant progress made toward the acquisition and/or maintenance of a critical skill.

Vocational Rehabilitation Services Teachers in 11 th or 12 th grade make a referral. Voc. Rehab. will attend the IEP meeting. Parents initiate the evaluation process. Parents initiate services.

Hudspeth Regional Assessment Parents request an evaluation through Hudspeth Regional Center. Go ahead and get on the waiting list TODAY!
