Bigideasmath.com This is the website for our newly adopted math curriculum. Students will be signing in to the website next week and will then have their own individual username and password. They will have access to many resources, games, and homework help.

Homework Policy Importance of Homework Reinforces what has been learned Prepares student for upcoming lessons Teaches responsibility Helps student develop strong study habits Late Homework is not accepted! However, it needs to be completed for notebook points Projects get lowered 1 whole grade for each day late (up to 3 days only) (up to 3 days only) Absences Students are responsible for obtaining and completing missed notes and assignments if absent Allowed 1 day for each day of excused absence to turn in missed work, but it is best to stay caught up!
Interactive Notebooks Need to be brought to school DAILY Should be checked by a parent to see if homework and classroom notes have been completed. Notebooks will be checked for neatness and completeness at the end of a unit for a grade. Think Through Math We are starting a new program this year and your student is already signed up! The website is on my school website for your student’s use at home. I encourage each student to go on it as often as possible to build his/her math skills. We will be going to the computer lab weekly to work on improving our skills.
