Mission: Support the Federal On-Scene Coordinator before, during and after an incident. This may include consultation, planning, training and coordination. Response - The RRT supports the Federal On-Scene-Coordinators. Inter-agency liaison Technical assistance Dispersant use approval Planning: The Regional Contingency Plan ensures that the roles, processes and priorities of federal and state agencies during an actual incident are clearly defined. Regional Response Team

Regional Response Team Coordinator Advise USCG RRT Co-Chair (CAPT Snyder) regarding oil /HAZMAT response plans, preparedness and stakeholder liaison. Coordinate all RRT(quarterly) and MEXUS (semi annually) events. Coordinate all incident-specific consultations with the RRT. Provide liaison with all USCG and other-agency stakeholders re oil & hazmat response and preparedness including the Mexican Navy in Baja California. Work with the RRT Executive Steering Committee and subject- matter experts to maintain the Regional Contingency Plan. Update the MEXUSPAC Annex as needed. Draft other plans & procedures for approval as needed. Provide relevant administrative support as needed.
