 kWh stands for Kilowatt-hour!  We measure electricity in units.  Each unit is the same as 1,000 watts of electricity used for 1 hour!

An electric shower! For 7-10 minutes!

An immersion water heater! minutes !

A large ring on an electric cooker! minutes!

A kettle! minutes!

A tumble dryer! minutes!

A two-slice toaster! minutes!

A washing machine! minutes!

A dishwasher ! minutes!

A desktop computer & monitor! 4-6 hours!

A 28-inch T.V! 6-9 hours!

A 100 watt standard light bulb! 10 hours!

A 20 watt CFL light bulb! 50 hours!
